Summary of the week 26

Cheese

Last week we could see a slight price decrease in all industrial-packed cheeses. Although rather big volumes have been sold by the producers, there is still enough cheese available on the market.

Butter

Despite the fact that cream went down, the butter is still solid. This phenomenon has been confirmed by GDT and German quotations. The cheapest offers already disappeared from the market, which means that finding butter below 3,40 Euro isn’t a piece of cake.

Liquids

Both skimmed and whole milk on a downward trend. Full milk was traded at the levels of 0.33 – 0.34 EUR/KG DAP, whereas skimmed averaged 0.18 – 0.19 EUR/MT delivered. Large quantities available in Poland. Cream slid by at least 4%. The price of SMC also decreased, and it was purchased at the levels of 1800-1850 EUR/MT for dry matter EXW. If the weather doesn’t change drastically, we would not predict the surge in price.

Powders

The last GDT auction confirmed solid price levels, we see now on the market.The biggest winner of the auction was FCMP with an increase of 14%. SWP is very stable.
