Technical aspects
Potato Protein is a fine, loose powder of gray, light gray or yellowish green color and has the typical odor of dried potatoes. Potato Protein is obtained by cleaning, steaming and peeling potatoes. Then the starch is extracted with water to produce a slurry, which is treated with acid, then dried and processed into powder.
Potato Protein is a rich source of plant protein and contains essential amino acids. In addition, it has functional properties – it can be used as a thickener and has water-binding properties.
The raw material for the production of Potato Protein is starch potatoes of Polish origin. Foodcom S.A. offers Potato Protein in feed and food grade.
