Potato starch

Potato starch is starch extracted from potatoes by crushing. Then, starch grains are released, washed and dried to powder. The product is characterised by clear, white colour and neutral taste. Potato starch has a good clarity, minimal tendency to foaming or yellowing solution, as well as high binding strength.

Potato starch has many food and technical applications, such as bakery cream, instant soups and sauces, kosher foods, hot dog sausages, and wine gums. Moreover, it is used in pre-packed grated cheese to reduce binding.
