Dried cut cranberry consists of sweetened, dried cranberries cut into smaller pieces and lightly coated with sunflower oil to prevent sticking. The product is intended for direct consumption and as a raw material for the bakery, confectionery, cereal and dairy industries.

Technical aspects
The ingredients are dried cranberries, sugar and sunflower oil. The fruit is infused with sugar, dried, cut and sprinkled with oil so that the pieces stay free-flowing and do not clump in the pack. The product is dark red, with a sweet taste and a slightly sour aftertaste, and contains no preservatives.
Moisture does not exceed 18%, which gives a soft, pliable texture and good storage stability. The raw material contains no allergenic ingredients, is produced without GMO ingredients and has not been irradiated. Heavy metals, mycotoxins and microbiological parameters comply with current EU legislation.

Application
In the food industry, cut cranberry is used as a fruit inclusion in breakfast cereals, muesli, granola, cereal bars and dried fruit mixes, as well as in cakes, biscuits, bread and confectionery. The smaller piece size makes it easier to distribute evenly in a mass and to dose on production lines.
It also works in yoghurts, dairy desserts, ice cream and fruit fillings, and as a component of salad mixes and ready meals. The product is also intended for direct consumption as a snack.
