The year 2024 at Foodcom S.A. was a chapter full of landmark moments, testifying to our determination, vision and belief in our ability to shape the future – both in the local and global markets. It was a time of intensive growth, close cooperation with partners and activities that changed the daily lives of our customers and communities.
Global and local expansion
In 2024, we made changes that enabled us to reach new markets. The launch of four new websites in Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and Hindi, allowed us to better meet the needs of customers from different corners of the world. This was not only a practical solution, but also evidence of our understanding of the specifics of these markets.
At the same time, we expanded into new market segments, such as coffee and cocoa, which have become an important part of our offerings. The introduction of these products came at a challenging time for the coffee and cocoa markets, which were facing serious difficulties. The crisis in the coffee market, caused by the drought in Brazil, and record cocoa prices due to adverse weather conditions in West Africa affected global supply and prices. Despite these challenges, Foodcom S.A. has successfully introduced these products into its portfolio, strengthening its position in the market and providing customers with top-quality solutions. It is also worth mentioning the further enrichment of the offer with grains, such as pistachios.
The year was also full of participation in significant industry events, such as CPHI China and the fairs in Amsterdam, Geneva and Hannover. Our presence at these events strengthened our position on the international stage and enabled us to establish strategic partnerships that will have an impact in the future.
Our activities also extended to the domestic market. The opening of offices in Krakow, Wroclaw and Rzeszow was a step towards making our cooperation with local partners more accessible and effective. The new offices are also spaces that inspire creative action and provide a solid base for our rapidly growing team.
Accolades received
Our achievements have been recognized by the industry. Being among the winners of Forbes Diamonds and Business Gazelles is proof that we are heading in the right direction. These awards motivate us to set even more ambitious goals. However, Foodcom S.A.’s greatest resource remains its people – a team that pursues our visions with full commitment every day.
Social and environmental responsibility
The year 2024 was also the time when we reaffirmed our commitment to social and environmental responsibility by investing in a simple but significant initiative – an ecological bench in the Royal Baths Park. This project symbolizes our mission – small but significant steps toward sustainability. We have also supported a city card program for our employees, promoting green and convenient means of transportation. All of this is part of our vision to build a better world – both for our company and the communities we support.
Team strength
We haven’t forgotten about our team either. Work-Camp in Tenerife was an event that uniquely integrated our employees and provided them with motivation to continue working. Such initiatives are a reminder that behind every number in our reports are people – their passion, talent and commitment.
We closed 2024 with a sense of accomplishment and a huge appetite for what the future holds. Realized goals and established partnerships are only the beginning of what we want to achieve.
