Garcinia Cambogia Extract
Garcinia Cambogia Extract is a standardised botanical extract from the fruit of Garcinia gummi-gutta (syn. Garcinia cambogia) with a hydroxycitric acid (HCA) content of min. 60%. It is an off-white fine powder intended for further processing in dietary supplement manufacturing.
Technical aspects
The raw material is the Garcinia fruit; the extract is standardised to HCA content determined on an anhydrous basis. The extraction ratio is 5:1, the solvent is water and the product contains no carriers or additives. The powder is fine, passes 100% through an 80 mesh sieve and has a characteristic odour.
Loss on drying does not exceed 5% and sulphated ash 5%. The product has not been irradiated or treated with ethylene oxide, holds KOF-K Parve kosher status, and residual solvents meet the requirements of European Pharmacopoeia 7.0 (chapter 5.4). Heavy metal and microbiological limits are given in the table.

The product is intended solely for further industrial processing and is not suitable for direct consumption. Health claims on the finished product must comply with Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006.
