Foodcom S.A. presents Demineralized Sweet Whey Powder 90—a high-quality whey powder derived from pasteurized sweet whey. It is characterized by a very high lactose content, low fat content, and a controlled protein level, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in the food and feed industries.
Technical aspects
Demineralized whey powder (DEMI) is a free-flowing, homogeneous powder with a light cream color and a mild, milky taste and aroma, free of foreign flavors and undesirable odors. This powder is produced by removing some of the minerals from liquid sweet whey, which is then spray-dried.

Storage period
The shelf life is approximately 18 months. The product should be stored in clean, dry, and well-ventilated warehouses, on a clean pallet, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C and at a relative humidity not exceeding 75%.

Application
Demineralized whey powder is widely used in the food industry, including in the production of coffee and tea creamers, confectionery products, nutritional beverages, cream fillings, and soups. DEMI (90% demineralization) is also used in the production of infant formula. It allows for a composition similar to that of breast milk.
This product can also be used in the production of animal feed to increase the protein content and other nutrients.
DEMI can also be used in the production of medicines and pharmaceutical preparations.
