Gouda cheese is distinguished by its uniform yellow-orange color and soft, elastic texture. The taste is intense, slightly sour with a noticeable hint of condensed milk, and the aroma is distinct and pleasant. The rind of the cheese is smooth and even, only slight imprints of the mold are acceptable. The product is free of foreign odors, impurities and pests.

Storage period
Gouda cheese should be stored in cool, clean rooms, free from foreign odors, at a temperature of 0°C to +8°C. Transport at a maximum temperature of +6°C.

Application
Gouda cheese is mainly intended for direct consumption as a snack and as an ingredient in sandwiches, salads, toast, burgers and tortillas. It is suitable for shredding, grating and slicing. It is a valuable ingredient for the production of high-quality ready meals and snacks, such as pizza, cheese-based sauces and dips, soup premixes, flavored crackers and French fries. Gouda cheese is also used in the confectionery and bakery segments, where its melting ability is exploited.
