Coconut chips are a natural, full-fat product extracted from ripe, carefully selected coconuts. The flesh of the coconut is peeled, washed, blanched, dried and processed to produce a bright white color and a mild, sweet aroma. The product is widely used in bakery, confectionery and chocolate production. Foodcom S.A. offers fine-grained whole desiccated coconut full fat (Fine Grade) with a fine texture, and medium-grained whole coconut chips (Medium Grade), characterized by slightly larger particles.
Technical aspects
Coconut chips are a full-fat product with a fat content of 65-68%, which ensures their rich flavor and natural oiliness. The low moisture content (≤3%) guarantees stability and a long shelf life. The product meets strict quality standards, contains no SO₂ residues, and is controlled for minimal impurities.

Storage period
Store coconut chips in a cool and dry place, at temperatures below 30°C, away from heat sources, sunlight and intense odors. Under proper conditions, the product retains its quality for up to 24 months.
Packaging
The product is available in 10 kg and 25 kg multilayer kraft paper bags with an inner polyethylene layer for protection and freshness of the product.
Application
Coconut chips are widely used in baking, where they are added to cakes, cookies and rolls. In confectionery, they are used to make pralines, bars and chocolate fillings. In the dairy industry, they are an ingredient in desserts, yogurts and ice creams, and in Asian cuisine they are used to make curries, sauces and coatings for meats. In addition, in the food industry they are used as a decoration and flavor enrichment for finished products.
