Technical aspects
Ground star anise is a natural spice obtained from the dried fruits of Illicium verum, finely ground into a homogeneous powder, in which light clumps that easily crumble under finger pressure are allowed. The product is gray to green in color and has a distinctive aromatic odor with an anethole note and a peculiar taste without extraneous notes. It comes from Turkey, Spain, Syria or Egypt.
The product contains allergens: celery, mustard, gluten and sulfur dioxide. Nuts, sesame, egg and soy are also present in the production facility.
